about

Ever since getting the Roland Juno Six in 1984 I have combined my songwriting with recording electronic instrumentals. During 1985-6 my first 4-track recordings were primiarly "ambient musics" and these were compiled onto a C90 compilation which remains the best summary of that peirod. Since re-activating the Bonbon Experiment name in 2007 I have included ambient instrumentals on a number of releases, inc. Secondhand Value of a Download e.p.., the second side of You Want to Know Something, and in particular Return of the Juno 6, where the 25-minute Chimera takes up a full side. Ambient Musics 2007-21 brings together 90 minutes of electronic instrumental music from these projects and others, including 3 tracks recorded specially for this release, What if we don't feel like dancing..., Bell-wearer at Twilight, and Muskets at Dawn. Non-chronological it provides a welcome companion to previous volumes. Available now to stream or download. Cover design by Glenn-Emlyn Richards.
